An event is one transaction, login or customer update you send to Sentinel. Sending the same event twice (for example on a retry) is recognised as a duplicate and counted once. Sandbox events are never counted.
On Growth and Scale, extra events are billed per 1,000 at the overage rate shown above. Starter has a soft limit: we won't cut you off, and we'll get in touch to talk about moving to Growth.
